There is more good news coming out of Ghana. Our friend Mark Kwadwo, is becoming the poster child for love and compassion in Ghana. There is a great article in Monday's Star-Telegram (which could not be located online) and the original coverage started in the New York Times. I appreciate the reporter's follow-up on the story.

You can see the NY Times story at "Building a Memorial to a Son, One Child at a Time" Mark has been featured in the NY Times several times now and his story just gets better. I look forward to the day when our family can return to Ghana and we can talk to him in English. He will learn English much faster than I will learn Twi, I am sure.

This is a great story about a great family that has made a DRASTIC difference in the lives of seven children. Actually, because many of us have met these children and learned even more about the fate of children in Ghana, this work has drastically changed many of us.

The Cope's do not do the work they do for publicity but it is good that there is great news out there about good people doing good work. Their efforts along with their collaboration with the Village of Hope , has changed my life and my family's life for sure.

As well, we are still watching for OPRAH to tell this story. Film crews from the Oprah show were at the Village of Hope a couple of weeks ago so we are still watching for these kids to show up again. God is working to tell this great story. He has told this story before, about children in slavery and how they are saved by one who loves them. It is a good story that includes all of us. These children are a living example of what God has done for us. And a testament to what people will do once they understand what God's love is all about.

I thought many of you would want to know about how all of this came about. You can check out the following resources to follow this great story:
